A brand new Kia becomes incredibly affordable when you scrap your car with the Government Scrappage Incentive
To be eligible for the Government Scrappage Scheme your vehicle must:
- Be registered in the UK before 29 Feb 2000 (upto 3,500kg before 28 FEB 2002)
- Weigh 3,500kg or less
- Have a UK address on the registration certificate
- Have been registered to you for a minimum of 12 months
- Be registered in your name
- Have a current MOT test certificate
You may have come across car dealers offering car salvage and car replacement schemes. But if your car is more than 10 years old and you’ve had it for more than 12 months, it’s well worth changing it for a new one – unless of course it’s a classic or holds great sentimental value.
This is because until March 2010, the Government and Kia Motors (UK) Ltd is offering drivers £2,000 to change their older, more polluting vehicles for a new ‘green’ car. So your current car may be worth a lot more than you thought.
Reasons to scrap a car for a new one...
1. No worries about unexpected repairs
From a minimum of 3 years unlimited mileage – up to a staggering 7 years for the cee’d and Sportage models – no other car manufacturer can match our warranties.
2. Reduce your running costs
New cars, on average, are more economical than old ones. And, if you choose one of Kia’s low emission range, you will save every year with only £35 road tax charge and fall into the low group 2 insurance bracket.
3. Enjoy the drive, more safely
Buy a new Kia and you don’t just get exceptional quality and value for money – driver and passenger airbags, side impact protection and ABS brakes come as standard.
4. It couldn't be simpler!
Your Kia dealer will arrange everything for you. Contact your Bromley and they will be happy to do the rest.
