With sales boosted by the Scrappage Scheme, Kia is hoping for continued success by making their seven year/ 100,000 mile warranty available on all their cars.
The warranty, which was previously only offered on the European-built C'eed and Sportage, is the longest offered by any manufacturer and covers the car for seven years or 100,000 miles- whichever is reached sooner.
CEO of Kia Europe, Paul Philpott, announced the move as part of the Korean car-maker's plans to become the world-leading manufacturer for customer satisfaction.
As part of achieving this goal, Kia has also announced that the warranty can be passed on to subsequent owners. Aside from ensuring good residual values, the move will make used Kia's a tempting second-hand prospect.
The seven year warranty applies to all Kia's registered from 1 January 2010 but not all items are covered for the duration of the warranty. Paintwork is covered for 5 years, audio for 3 years and batteries are covered for 2 years.
